Need Legal Help?

Representatives of The Black People’s Community Justice Center are not lawyers, and we do not offer legal advice.

We serve as a liaison between you and your defense lawyer. Once you give consent for us to speak to your lawyer about your case, we begin accessing alternative networks and strategize with you on ways to give you the best support. Some of the more common complaints we hear from clients about their representation are:

● My lawyer thinks I’m guilty.
● My lawyer is racist.
● My lawyer won’t call me back.
● I have never met my lawyer and we have court tomorrow.
● My lawyer doesn't look or act like a lawyer (e.g. poorly dressed, unkempt, poor hygiene, unprepared).

The Black People’s Community Justice Center, through its practice of being person-centered, will work with you to ensure you get the vigorous defense you are entitled to.
